Experience
Before moving to the United States in 1989, I was a practicing artist specializing in oil painting. After coming to America I decided to change careers and in 1997 received a Ph.D in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Since then I have have had my own private practice in Berkeley CA where I see a mix of adults and couples Many of the clients I see in my psychotherapy practice are mental health and medical professionals, business leaders, college students, and professors. While my orientation is psychoanalytic, I have also studied deeply other orientations (e.g., neuropsychology, humanistic, and interpersonal) and can bring those perspectives to bear when appropriate.
In addition to my private practice, I have been involved, since its inception, with “A Home Within”, a not-for-profit organization devoted to providing free psychotherapy to Foster Children. I have presented at professional conferences and published papers including a Chapter in ” Treating Trauma: Relationship-Based Psychotherapy with Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults” published in 2013
